Look. I’m not gonna lie. I had high hopes for this lucky kimono of mine securing a Bears victory every week. But three weeks ago those hopes were dashed.
Last Sunday I resorted to skipping the kimono and making my famous “Victory Chili” and they won.
But come on- I can’t be making chili every Sunday for the rest of football season. I mean-that’s a lot of beans if you know what I mean–and I’m a lady.
In case you forgot how serious we take our Bears in this house here’s a peak into our house on most Sundays.
There’s dancing. There’s hugging.
There’s also crying. There’s also yelling. And lately there is a lot of blaming the “lucky kimono.”
Sure. I have other Bears stuff but they have not proven to be as lucky as the kimono.
And when I say they are not as lucky I straight up mean NOT LUCKY AT ALL!
I’ve shed so many tears and shouted so many swears wearing these earrings and scarf that I had to use my swear jar money to buy another box of Kleenex!
So what can I do?
I probably just need to find a new “lucky kimono.” Some other item I can wear on game day that ensures my team wins.
And maybe you’re in the same boat. Like- if you’re a Green Bay or Pittsburgh fan and you’ve spent the 2nd half of any Sunday wondering how the Browns have a better record than you. YOU need a new “lucky kimono” too!

Or maybe I should get these “lucky” pajamas. Perfect for all that Playoff dreaming…
Or there is this new “lucky” kimono— all the joy of my regular kimono but for a casserole (or my chili if this whole “lucky” gear thing falls through)…
Perhaps maybe I should start preparing for the future and just get these “lucky” Blackhawks earrings…
